MUSICAL FEATURES

Klavis Twin Waves MkII has 8 HP of independently algorithm selectable VCO (or LFO)XNUM X oneequippedUltra compact dual oscillator. As a VCO, you can quickly create two unique sounds that would normally take time and space, such as basic sine wave and pulse sounds, synced and detuned sounds, noise, selectable FM/AM options, etc. with the smallest patch. I can. In LFOClock synchronization(Or its Div / Mult) is also possible,Random waveformCan also be output.

How To Use

Interface

The explanation of each part is displayed by mouse over

On Twin Waves Mk2, the top knobs, buttons, encoders, etc. are shared between OSC1 and OSC2. The jack section at the bottom has only the Sync/Clk jack in common, and the other two rows on the left are input/output jacks for OSC2, and one row on the right is input/output jacks for OSC1. Which OSC is controlled by the common controller is shown in the upper left corner.OSC2 buttonPlease check the LED on the side. If you want to set OSC2, press the OSC2 button to light up the LED.

When you select the oscillator to set, you can select from a variety of algorithms prepared for each VCO/LFO by pushing the rotary encoder, rotating it, and pushing it. The algorithm is also shown on the display. The rotary encoder is also used to control algorithm-specific parameters.

For controls common to OSC1 and OSC2, there may be a difference between the knob position and the actual parameter value, but in that case the LED next to it will not light up and the parameter will change until the knob passes the actual parameter position. plug. When the knob reaches the actual parameter position, the LED will light up, a message will appear on the screen, and the knob will now control the parameter.

The output of OSC1 is internally connected to Param2, the output of OSC2 is connected to Param1, and the square wave output of OSC1 is connected to Sync/Clk, so you can modulate Param1/2 with these signals without patching, or use them for synchronization. It can be used as a clock, etc.

When in LFO mode, the Fine pitch knob controls the output LFO.AttenuatorIt is also useful for modulating the OSC2 LFO to the OSC1 VCO.

firmware Update

To know the current firmware revision of the module, press the Osc2 and Sync buttons at the same time.

The firmware update procedure is as follows.

  1. Connect a mono or stereo cable between the headphone output of your audio playback device and the FM/AM input of Twin Waves.
  2. Prepare the audio file for playback.
  3. Set the playback level to 3/2.
  4. While powering up the modular case, hold down the Osc2 and Sync buttons while powering on, or press these buttons immediately after powering up (within the first half second).
  5. The green and blue LEDs will flash.
  6. Start playing the audio file.

If all goes well

  • The green LED will stay on and the blue LED will blink.
  • After a few seconds, the display will begin to fill with dots.
  • When the display is full,
o A message will appear confirming the success of the update.
o Both blue and green LEDs will flash.
  • Press the encoder to restart the module.

If the volume is too low

    • The red LED will stay on and the two blue LEDs will flash.
    • Stop audio playback.
    • Slightly increase the audio playback level.
    • Press the encoder button, the green LED will flash.
    • Resumes audio playback from the beginning.

If an error occurs during playback
The volume may have been too loud from the beginning. In that case, there is no LED feedback. Please lower the volume significantly and try the procedure again.
Playback errors can also be due to various sources of noise, such as:

    • touch the cable
    • Use your phone or computer's voice-generating features
    • Power saving features that affect audio playback
    • Noisy modules in the surrounding area, poor electrical grounding, or noisy modular power supplies
