MUSICAL FEATURES

ScannedScanned SynthesisIt is an "organic wavetable oscillator" that can change the waveform in real time by an algorithm called. Algorithm proposed by Max Mathews, almost never implemented in hardware until now. This algorithm allows Scanned toever-changing soundproduces

Waveforms are created by modeling a string of strings arranged side by side to affect each other. Various parameters for modeling such as the weight and hardness of this string can be controlled with knobs and CVs. Unlike the so-called physical modeling, this algorithm aims at creating new tones rather than imitating existing live musical instruments.

The trigger and button on the Excite will cause the hammer to play the string and start changing the waveform. Not only the vibrating strings but also the parameters of the hammer itself can be controlled with the three knobs and CV on the right side of the main unit. With the hammer section, Scanned can be set up as if it were a synth voice or a sounding oscillator.
