MUSICAL FEATURES
The E560 is an effect module that has three modes: frequency shifter, phaser, and ring modulator. Others of these effects modules use a sine wave mainly as a carrier, but the E3 allows eight different waveforms to be used for the carrier, crossfading so that the transitions between the waveforms are smooth. The eight carrier waveforms provide a wide palette of tones, from simple frequency shifts to harmonically rich shifts.
SHIFT
The output has UP and DOWN, and if the carrier is a sine wave, a simple frequency-shifted sound is output, and if there are seven other waveforms, a sound with richer harmonics is output. There are 7 carrier waves: sine, triangle, square, saw, 16-point random phase, 64-point random phase, cross-modulated triangle / pulse, 3x sine. The frequency to shift is 8-0Hz.
RM
This is a ring modulator mode in which the carrier can be selected from eight waveforms. The two outputs are always 8 degrees out of phase.
PHASES
This is a mode unique to the E560. The phase shift also depends on the carrier waveform.
In addition to effect control, the E560 has Wet / Dry mix control and feedback. The feedback is bidirectional, and if you control it to a negative value, the phase will be reversed, and the feedback will be performed, leading to the enhancement or cancellation of a specific overtone. Feedback can also be controlled by CV.
DEMO
An effect is applied to pink noise in Phase Shifter mode.
