MUSICAL FEATURES

Three Sisters is a link filter that uses various filters to perform various tone shaping.

It consists of three filters, each with inputs and outputs. In addition, there is an ALL input that is input to all three filters, and an ALL output that mixes and outputs the outputs of all filters. It is useful for self-patching, such as feeding back the output to the input. Depending on the modulation, you can create a formant sound like a talking voice, or you can use it as a triple sine wave or Ping sound source.

The three are separate filters, but their cutoff frequencies work together. First of all, the filter settings differ greatly depending on whether the switch is "Crossover" or "Formant".
  • CrossoverLow is a low pass filter, HIGH is a high pass filter, and CENTRE is a band pass filter with a variable bandwidth that passes between them. FREQ controls the center frequency and SPAN controls the difference between the LOW and HIGH frequencies.
  • FormantThen, Low, Centre, High are all bandpass. REQ controls the center frequency and SPAN controls the difference between the LOW and HIGH frequencies.
Turning "Quality" to the right turns to resonance control, which controls the emphasis of the cutoff frequency of each filter determined by FREQ and SPAN. When fully turned, it self-oscillates and sine waves of different frequencies from LOW to HIGH can be extracted. Turning it counterclockwise, on the contrary, produces an effect that is not found in a normal filter, such as weakening around the cutoff frequency.
