The ALM Busy MCFx2 is a dual filter module featuring two of the company's state-variable filters, the MCF . It offers low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass (or notch) outputs and implements an analog 3-pole filter core. In addition to CV control of the cutoff and resonance of each filter, it also features two creative function switches.
The Feed button internally routes the left filter output to the right filter input, connecting the two filters in series. The type of output routed can be selected using the jumper setting on the back of the module.
The Link button connects the cutoff controls of the two filter cores, enabling parallel control of both filters. This unit, capable of self-oscillation, also features a 1V/Oct response cutoff control. It extends the superior sound of the MCF filter, supporting complex filtering setups such as stereo operation, dual-peak filtering, and tighter slopes.
