Helical is a 16-tone polyphonic synthesizer composed of Autoregressive Algorithmic Synthesizer.
Autoregressive synthesis continues to create endless new phrases and sounds.
Each oscillator has a sequencer, Wavetabble oscillator, envelope generator and VCA, which are independent for each oscillator.By writing to the SD card on the front of the panel, the user can change the scale and LED color with a dedicated editor, and the Wavetable can also be changed freely.
Autoregressive synthesis is an original method that has algorithms that refer to past states to determine the next parameter. In Helical, the past pitch (pitch) of each oscillator determines the duration (note value) of the next note, and the past note value influences the next note pitch.By being helically influenced from the past, it produces a natural sound that is different from completely random.
At the end of the envelope, calculate a new pitch and duration.

Helical is designed with the purpose of exploring new rhythms that are not the concept of existing musical rhythms (determining note value from BPM).
