JACKS and KNOBS

Frequency knob

Set the frequency of the oscillator.

Fine Knobs

Set the frequency of the oscillator in detail.

Pulsewidth Knob

Adjusts the pulse width of the pulse wave (square wave).

Pulse width modulation attenuator

The CV attenuator to the Pulse Width Modulation to the right.

FM Knobs

The FM CV attenuator from Linear FM and FM2 on the right.

Wave Shaper Input

Depending on the CV input here, the waveforms of the output sine wave and triangle wave change, and it is possible to produce a waveform with richer overtones.

outputs

Oscillator output. From the top, it is a sine wave, a triangular wave, a sawtooth wave, and a square wave (pulse wave).

Mode Switch

It is a switch to change the display mode. The default is frequency counter mode, which always displays the frequency.

If you press the button once, it will be in note mode, and in addition to the frequency, it will display the scale when it comes to the frequency of the scale.Sharp scales are displayed with a "." Between C and 1, such as "C.2".

Press the button again to enter octave mode.

1V / Oct Input

A CV input that specifies the pitch of the oscillator.

External Input

By inputting the output of another oscillator here, you can display the frequency and scale of that oscillator. For accurate frequency measurements, use a sawtooth wave for the input.

SyncInput

Input the output of the sawtooth wave or pulse wave of the master oscillator used for the oscillator sink here.

Hard Sync Modulation

With Hard Sync Modulation, you can input any sound as the master sound used for syncing, and the Z3000 synchronizes with that sound.

Pulse Width Modulation

CV input to control the pulse width

FM1 Input

FM1 input that CV controls the frequency of the oscillator.

Linear FM Input

Linear FM input that controls the frequency of the oscillator by CV.Linear FM is milder than other FM1 and FM2 FMs, and it is relatively easy to control dissonance. You can control the strength with the attenuator on the left.

FM2 Input

FM2 input that CV controls the frequency of the oscillator. You can control the strength with the attenuator on the left.

Display

Displays frequency / scale / octave according to the mode.

When you move the cursor to the screen, the role of each part is displayed in a pop-up.
The brand logo mark on the product panel is new and different from the image.

MUSICAL FEATURES

A great staple of analog oscillators.Although it is a full analog VCO, it is equipped with his LCD display that displays the frequency information of the sound that is output, and it is possible to display the pitch / octave / frequency etc.It is also possible to measure externally input signals. The frequency is measured by calculating the frequency of the waveform that is actually output, not the pitch CV that is input. This feature is also very useful for those who make heavy use of FM, which tends to change pitch.

SYNC / FM / WAVESHAPING

The Z3000 itself has many waveform modulation features that make it easy to generate waveforms other than standard analog oscillator waveforms.Corresponds to normal oscillator sinkHSM (Hard Sync Modulation) in addition to SYNC inputThere is also a SYNC input that can make various waveforms such as the master of synchronization.AlsoWAVESHAPER By inputting a CV or audio signal to the input, it is possible to shift the sine wave and the triangular wave from the symmetrical shape. There are also 3 FM inputs,In addition to the exponential type (normal FM with strong effect), it also has a linear FM, which can be used to create a delicate FM sound with relatively little dissonance. You can create various complex waveforms by using one or two Z1s.

Display

The Z3000 mk II's display can show the frequency, scale, and octave of the audio signal output from the oscillator. This is done by counting the number of signal cycles in a fixed time inside the Z3000, so it is possible to use that function for another oscillator by inputting another sound to the EXT-IN.It's very handy because you can tune all the oscillators and drum sounds of your system with just one.
