Twiigs is a utility module with four "Bernoulli Gate" functions that stochastically distribute input trigger/gate signals to two outputs.Probability can be controlled by knob and CV for each channel.

Each time a trigger/gate signal is input to the input, Branches randomly decides whether to output to A or B, and outputs a 5V gate signal only to the decided output. The input gate is also input to the next channel without patching due to internal wiring.

The output mode can be set for each channel using the button.
  • Bernoulli Gate Mode: This mode determines whether the signal is output to Output A or Output B based on a probability p that can be set using a slider or CV.

  • Toggle mode: In this mode, the probability p determines whether to output to the same output as the previous one or to the opposite output.
If probability p is set to its maximum value, the output will alternate between A and B.
A short press of the button will enable/disable toggle mode.

  • Latch Mode: When latch mode is enabled, output A or B will continue to output +5V while active.
Press and hold the button to enable/disable latch mode.
For each channel, when the slider is down the gate is output from A, and when it is up the gate is output from B.
