MUSICAL FEATURES

Tangrams are two classic analog envelopes with intuitive controls.VCA,PulsarEquipped with a clock generator called , it can produce complex and musical envelopes. Like its predecessor, the Dual ADSR, Tangrams is inspired by the Roland SH-101 / System 100m, and also by the trapezoidal function generator found in the EMS Synthi.

A newly added voltage-controlled pulser circuit links two envelope triggers for delayed one-shots, organic envelope cycling, and more.

Also, the output of Tangrams is multiplied by the envelope and VCA input, so if you put a positive CV into the VCA input, it will function as a level control for each envelope. Also, if you input the audio signal you want to envelope to the VCA, you can take out the enveloped audio from the envelope output as a result of the multiplication. If not patched to the VCA input, the envelope will be output as is.

A pulser is a chain of two gates that can be set independently of the envelope. When triggered, pulser 2 turns ON for T1, and at the moment pulser 1 turns OFF, pulser 1 turns ON for T2. .Pulsar 2 is started by triggering the manual button, START jack, and when Pulsar 1 is turned off in Cycle mode.

Pulsers 1 and 2 can be sent to either envelope's gate input with a single switch without patching. You can also configure cycling ADSRs with gate times that differ from the interval between gates, or create sequences in which ADSR1 is triggered after ADSR2 is triggered.

The combination of pulsar and VCA functions allows you to generate many interesting and organic envelope and gate patterns, both periodic and one-shot.

  • Dual Analog ADSR Envelope with Gate Pulser to Enable Trapezoidal Shape
  • Pulser stages P1 and P2 can be selectively routed to each ADSR trigger via panel switches
  • Three timing ranges: (FAST: ~3 seconds, MED: ~5 seconds, SLOW: ~35 minute A/D time)
  • Retrig input (envelope can be re-triggered if source gate remains high)
  • VCA inputs can be used to dynamically control the respective ADSR output level (bipolar) or process signals that are amplitude modulated by the ADSR
  • Equipped with a manual GATE button for each envelope
  • Pulse consisting of independently controllable T1 and T2 stage lengths
  • Control T1 and T2 time with CV
