firmware Update

The steps to update the firmware for the Black Stereo Delay2 module are as follows:

  1. Download the audio file to your computer
  2. Turn off your Eurorack system and connect the audio output (headphone output or audio output from your sound card) to the L(MONO) IN of the Black Stereo Delay2 module. Set the TYPE switch to position D (lowest)
  3. Turn on the Eurorack system while holding down the SHIFT and TAP buttons at the same time. The five LEDs on the right side will start blinking, indicating that firmware update mode is active
  4. In this state, play the audio file from your computer. Five LEDs on the left indicate the audio level of the firmware file being input. At least 5 LEDs must be lit for sufficient audio level. If less than 3 LEDs are lit, switch the TYPE switch to position B to increase the audio level of the input signal
  5. The firmware update will take a few minutes. During a firmware update, a flashing TAP button indicates that the update is progressing normally, and a flashing SHIFT button indicates an error. If an error occurs, retry the update from step 1
  6. Reboot the rack once the update is complete
