Mosaic Decimator is a high quality digital bit reduction / downsampling effector.Two audio-destroying parameters and a Dry / Wet control convert car plus strong sounds into heavy metal power chords, or harmonious and complex samples into 2-bit chiptunes.
Decimator has two unique audio reduction tools, downsampling and bit depth reduction, which you can use to create a unique lo-fi sound.Bit depth reduction achieves lo-fi sound by reducing the bit depth value of incoming audio. Decimator can do this in the range from 2 bits to 24 bit.Downsampling reduces the bandwidth of an audio signal by lowering the sample rate.For example, if the sample rate of the incoming audio signal is 1kHz and is downsampled 44.1/5 times, the resulting sample rate will be 4kHz.
Input the 10Vpp audio signal to be processed by Decimator.
Decreases the bit depth of incoming audio.When the knob is fully squeezed to the left, audio passes at full resolution up to 32 bits.When the knob is at its maximum, the audio is 1 bit (square wave).The accompanying CV input accepts a ± 5V range.
Reduces the bandwidth resolution of incoming audio.Downsampling is not performed when the knob is fully throttled to the left. The CV input accepts a ± 5V range.
Balance control of Dry signal and Wet signal.Only the dry signal is output with the knob fully throttled to the left, and only the wet signal is output at the maximum value. The CV input accepts a ± 5V range.
Outputs an audio signal of 10Vpp.
