MUSICAL FEATURES

Polyphonic Envelope is a unique set of four Attack-Hold-Decay envelope generators that can be used simultaneously or individually. The successor of the four envelopes, triggered in sequence by cascading logic, can operate in three modes: starting at the Hold stage, Decay stage, or end point of the preceding envelope. Each envelope has a Gate input, CV output, and End Pulse output. This can be used for polyphonic patches of up to 4 voices, or to create patches that combine cascading and independent gates. It also has the ability to start the first envelope at 4V and lower it in steps, or start it at a lower voltage and end the fourth envelope at 3V, all of these parameters can be controlled by voltage.

HOW TO USE

The time constants of the four envelopes are controlled by a set of sliders and CV inputs. One set of controls is such that the four envelopes start at the same time, thenskewThis means that you can add variations through controls. Each slider setting, and each CV input, always defines the first envelope, and then the Skew parameter sets the duration of subsequent envelopes to be longer or shorter. Level TiltSections control envelope levels on a group-by-group basis. When the Level Tilt knob is in the center position, all four envelopes will rise to 4V. If you turn the knob clockwise, the voltage of the first envelope will be 10V, and the voltage of subsequent envelopes will decrease in steps. If you turn the knob counterclockwise, the first envelope will have the lowest voltage, the subsequent envelopes will increase in level, and the fourth envelope will have 1V. This Level Tilt is also voltage controllable and is equipped with a dedicated attenuverter.

Each envelope has a Gate input, CV output, and End Pulse output that affect note length, and the first envelope also has a Gate output for each stage.

When using each envelope generator as a group, logic is applied to cascade them. Skew and Level Tilt can also be used to modify each envelope individually, but these controls are especially useful when envelopes are cascaded. FashionThe switch selects H, D, E (Hold, Decay or End) and this setting determines the stage used to trigger subsequent cascaded envelopes.

CascadeTrigger output outputs the trigger corresponding to the stage used in the current mode from the fourth envelope. You can also use this to cascade a second Polyphonic Envelope after the first, resulting in four more envelopes. Cascade mode is dynamically activated and deactivated, allowing envelopes to be triggered independently between cascades. All envelopes can be used individually if each is used with an independent Gate input, so you can also loop them to create four unsynchronized LFOs.
AllThe output is a combination of all 4 CV outputs and all 4 End Pulses.
