Ciat-Lonbarde Cocoquantus2

¥309,000 (Tax excluded ¥280,909)
Ciat-Lonbarde lo-fi sampling/looping workstation with 5 LFO/VCO and input section

Format: Standalone Synthesizer
Accessories: AC adapter 12V (can also be driven by a 9V battery)
* Patching is not a 3.5mm cable,banana cableUse the.
* Output is about line level
* Cocoquantus2 contains a lot of noise in the recording material due to the characteristics of 8-bit recording, but this is part of the specifications of this synthesizer.Noise also depends on recording level and recording speed.

Quick Manual

[About Ciat-Lonbarde]
Ciat-Lonbarde's modular synths have many wooden parts, and the wood grain patterns vary from individual to individual.
There are many handmade processes, and there may be changes and individual differences in other appearances. In addition, there may be some stiffness due to the warping of the wood. Please note on your purchase.

MUSICAL FEATURES

Cocoquantus2 is an 8-bit looper/sampler"Coconut"Equipped with 2 and 5 VCO/LFO with frequency control"Quantussy", and in addition to 3.5mm, it also enables input with piezo and XLR"Input"A lo-fi sampling looper delay workstation with sections.

  • 8-bit delay looper can control playback speed with knob/CV (recording time is less than 1 second to about 1 minute depending on speed)
  • 5 oscillators that can also cause chaotic behavior can be used as LFO ~ VCO
  • Mic input via XLR, piezo input, 2 line level inputs
  • Noise-reducing Dolby Switch can also be used for silent punch-ins
  • Input and output VCA control
  • Oscillator features global pitch and chaos controls
  • The oscillator is equipped with a triangle wave and step output, and is equipped with a voltage control such as a speed range switch and FM/restart.

HOW TO USE

Coco's buffer is loaded with random noise when powered up.Sampling new audio into Coco works like this:

  • External sound input via 3.5mm stereo input on the side of the front side: Directly input to Coco when patched
  • External sound input via XLR or piezo (mono) input on the front side... Patch to the XLR or mono input, take the audio out of the corresponding banana output jack and patch it to Coco's signal input for the channel you want to sample.in this caseEnvelope followerSignals can also be retrieved.
  • Patch the Quantussy's oscillator output, which you're using as a VCO, to Coco's signal input on the channel you want to sample.

The two Coco sections each have an LED between the Quantussy to indicate recording status. When the LED is lit, it is not recording and is only playing as a looper. When the LED is not lit, the input will be recorded and played back.By raising the feedback knob on the right side that returns the playback sound to the input when recording, can act like a delay, or layer overdubs.

The gray jack on top of Coco outputs the delay line-only audio that is fed back. The main stereo mini output is a mix of both Coco's delay line signals and the input (dry) signal after gain reflection.

The Dolby switch is another point of Cocoquantus. There are two Dolby switches in one Coco, each switch in the up position, the left one for the input and the right one for the feedback (wet signal).Dolby is off at the middle position.
The operation of the lower position is special, when the input side switch is in the lower position, the input is muted when the output side sound is coming out. When the output switch is in the down position, the output is muted when sound is coming from the input side. That is, the inputs and outputs are gated by the opposite signal.by thisYou can create certain musical effects.

The Quantussy section features 5 oscillators that can be LFOs/VCOs, interacting with each other, doing FM, etc. to synthesize complex modulation signals and audio.Among them, the gray step waveform output can output a complex signal that is also affected by other oscillators. Also bottom rightChaos knobOne can introduce chaotic to noise-like behavior through cross-modulation between oscillators. The interaction between Quantussy and Coco allows buffer audio to continue to evolve endlessly.

Interface

Ciat-Lonbarde's banana synthesizer inputs cold colors such as blue and green, and outputs warm colors such as red, orange, and yellow.Even if you don't know the details of how to operate it, you can experiment with what happens by patching from output to input to create a new playing experience.
