MUSICAL FEATURES

Black Stereo Reverb is a versatile hi-fi stereo FX module based on a custom DSP engine and with many unique features. Reverb sources are selectable Tape, BBD, and "Dirty BBD", and each emulation has three modes: Room, Hall, and Cathedral.

With delicate room size controls, feedback, tone, and stereo spin controls, you can design the most subtle reverb effects. CV control of various parameters and the ability to save up to 10 presets will make this module an essential part of any performance rack.

Feature:

  • Reverbs based on tape, BBD, and digital delay lines
  • 3 room sizes
  • Manual and triggered freezes
  • 10 preset patches
  • CV controls for size, feedback, tone and preset selection
  • adjustable stereo spin

The module runs on the new Erica Synths DSP hardware, and the effects were developed in collaboration with 112dB, a Dutch company known for its beautiful sounding effects.

firmware Update

Follow these steps to update the firmware on your Black Stereo Reverb module:

  1. Download the audio file to your computer.
  2. Turn off your Eurorack system and connect the audio output (headphone output or audio output from your sound card) to the L(MONO) IN of the Black Stereo Reverb module. Set the TYPE switch to position D (lowest).
  3. Turn on the Eurorack system by holding down the SHIFT and FREEZE buttons at the same time. The five LEDs on the right side will start blinking, indicating that firmware update mode is active.
  4. In this state, play the audio file from your computer. Five LEDs on the left indicate the audio level of the firmware file being input. At least 5 LEDs must be lit for sufficient audio level. If less than 3 LEDs are lit, switch the TYPE switch to position B to increase the audio level of the input signal.
  5. The firmware update will take a few minutes. During the firmware update, a flashing FREEZE button indicates that the update is progressing normally, and a flashing SHIFT button indicates an error. If an error occurs, retry the update from step 1.
  6. After the update is complete, restart the rack.
