MUSICAL FEATURES

The Pointeuse is a CV controllable bi-directional analog switch that can be used as a momentary footswitch adapter for Eurorack.

Pointeuse hasIn / outTheOut/In IorOut/In IIThere are these two states that connect toThis state can be changed by a footswitch (via the included adapter expander), a front panel button, or by sending a CV to the Trig In input, providing a high level of interactive control.

Switching behavior can be selected from two types, for example, a momentary type that switches only while the button is pressed, or a latch type that switches the signal each time the button is pressed.
Also, if there is no patch to In/Out, a 5V signal will alternate between Out/In I and Out/In II.

HOW TO USE

Interface

The explanation of each part is displayed by mouse over

Pedal & Expander

You can connect a footswitch pedal to the 4HP expander included with the Pointeuse to control the switch.

Use the supplied cable to connect the expander. Pointeuse on the backFOOT2-pin header labeled , on the back of the expanderFOOTConnect the headers labeled .The included cable is designed so that you can install it in the correct orientation.

Pointeuse can also be used as a simple footswitch adapter.Connect the expander to the module.Select any action from Momentary or Latching and use either Out/In as output.A 5V gate signal is generated at either Out/In I or Out/In II when the pedal is pressed.

It is possible to select 'push to ON' or 'push to OFF' depending on which Out/In jack is used for output. This depends on which pedal you use, and its polarity. You can check the status with the LEDs on the left side of each jack.

Momentary |

Mom (entary)
If the switch is set to 'Mom', the Pointeuse will change state while the user is interacting (holding a pedal or button, or having CV > 2.5V on Trig In).Pointeuse returns to its previous state at the end of the operation, such as when a button is released.

Latch (ing)
If 'Latch' is selected, the Pointeuse will change state when a pedal or button is pressed or when Trig In goes above 2.5V and will remain that state until the next pedal or button is pressed or CV goes high. hold.

truth table

Pointeuse's first logic layer takes the 'pedal' and 'button' as inputs, which are XORed together. In other words, if both are ON at the same time, the result is OFF.

The result of this 'pedal vs. button' logic is then XORed with the CV input again.Again, if both are ON, the result is OFF.

Chaining

Two or more Pointeuse can be chained together. In this case you can switch all at once and still control the slaves individually.

The connection uses the same cable as the expander, and the rear of the first PointeuseMASTER (MPS)Header and 2nd PointeuseSLAVICConnect headers.Repeat similar connections for each subsequent Pointeuse.
