MUSICAL FEATURES

Vertex is a 3360VCA-based, DC-coupled stereo VCA module. Like the company's Parallax, it is optimized for use in stereo, but you can easily create a stereo patch from a monaural signal.

Two linear VCA and two exponential VCA are installed, keeping the audio quality high,Signal amplitude, balance and panning in the stereo fieldControl dynamically.

The Vtex of Vertex has the characteristic that the gain does not increase even if the CV is added more than the unity gain, and it clips. By taking advantage of this, it is possible to create creative patches such as overdriving the CV and clipping the shape of the CV. For example, if you clip the AD envelope, the shape will change to AHD. If this is combined with the Skew function, the envelope shapes on the left and right may differ slightly.Organic stereo effectIn addition, Vertex can be used for oscilloscopes and vector laser patches.XY signal control applicationIt is also an excellent tool for

Patch Ideas

Stereo Tremolo

Input a stereo signal. Set the gain between 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock and input the LFO to Skew CV. Adjusting the Skew CV Amount per hour will cause the signal to swivel in the stereo field. Various tremolo effects can be obtained by changing the LFO shape.

Voltage controlled panning

Input a monaural signal to the L input. When the Gain is fully open clockwise, the Skew control works like a pan pot, controlling the signal in the stereo field. Panning can be controlled by CV by CV input to Skew CV. By inputting an envelope to Gain CV instead of operating the Gain knob, it is possible to control the volume of the stereo signal using the envelope shaping ability of Vertex.
