MUSICAL FEATURESDVCA is a 4-channel digital control VCA that packs easy-to-use functions into 2HP. CV can also be processed by DC coupling. The signal paths are all analog, but by adding digital to the processing of control signals, various convenient functions are installed. It responds well to fast envelopes.
The DVCA is made up of two VCA, and both channels can be switched by a switch.Zero-cross detection modeCan be switched to. In the zero-cross detection mode, the CV operation starts when the input audio reaches 0V, so the click sound that enters the attack due to the fast attack envelope can be greatly reduced.
In CH A, in addition to the zero cross detection function, Bias (gain amount when CV = 0V) and CV attenuator are attached. Also, in trigger mode (selected in the "TR" position), the input CV is updated when the gate is input to the UPD A jack, and the CV value is retained until the next gate is entered (sample & hold function). This is useful when you want to change the volume for each trigger, such as velocity. Also, when CH A is in bipolar VCA mode with a switch, the initial gain becomes 0 when BIAS is in the middle, and it can also be used as a bipolar VCA or ring modulator. CH B operates independently as a standard VCA with zero cross detection, although the controls are somewhat simplified.
