AXXENT is a module that acts as a Metron expander and can output accent gates. Each output is linked to its respective channel, and accents can be easily programmed using an interface integrated with Metron. The accent gates can be sent not only to the accent input of drum modules, but also to various gate inputs, such as the gate input of a bass cutoff envelope or a gate-controlled thru like Time Warp , to add various changes to drum and synth sequences.
At the step where the accent is ON, the gate ON continues to be output from the corresponding accent output during that step. When the step of accent OFF comes, the accent output will be gate OFF. Accent data is stored and recalled as Metron track data. It is also included in the target data for editing such as Clear, Duplicate, and Nudge.
To program an accent, hold the SELECT button at the bottom of the module and press the corresponding track or step button in Metron. While you hold down the SELECT button, the gate ON step will light up lightly. By holding down the SELECT button and pressing a track button, you can turn accents on / off for all steps of the track.
Connecting AXXENT and Metron is very easy. Connect one of the two "EXP" 2-pin headers on the back of the Metron board to the AXXENT header. Make connections so that the red stripe matches the dot on the board. Be sure to cover the unconnected 8-pin connector with the terminator jumper so that the dots match.
