Signal Input

Signal input jack. This input is ignored when Cycle is on

Slew Time knob

Hold Input

In Sample & Hold mode, it is the gate input for sampling, and in Lag & Hold mode, it is the gate input for holding the output signal while it is on.

MUSICAL FEATURES

Sport Modulator is an "army knife" type CV utility module that can create a variety of intricately intertwined CVs from a seemingly simple interface.It consists of two identical units that can perform thru, sample & hold, track & hold, LFO, etc. By patching them, you can perform many functions as a CV generator and CV modifier.You can also use it as a powerful random source by inputting noise. The functionality of the Sport Modulator is deeply influenced by the Serge Modulator, especially the SSG (Smooth & Stepped Generator) module.

The Sport Modulator consists of two sections with similar functions arranged one above the other.Each section has a mode switchSample & hold(LED on) orRug & Hold (Truck & Hold)Operates as (LED off).The operation of each mode is as follows.

Sample & Hold
Works as a sample and hold. The moment the gate enters the S / H input, the input signal to IN is sampled and output from OUT, and then that value is maintained until the gate inputs to S / H.Therefore, the output voltage is stepped.

When the CYCLE button is turned on, the input to IN is ignored and it behaves like an LFO that changes stepwise with each S / H input. The SLEW control determines the speed of the LFO
Lag & Hold
It works as a lag and hold (track and hold).It becomes a through limiter that slows down the change of the input signal, and the through time, which is the degree of change, is controlled by the SLEW knob / CV. The output signal is held the moment the gate enters the S / H input and returns through when the gate is turned off.

When the CYCLE button is turned on, the input to IN is ignored and it operates as a triangle wave LFO, and the SLEW control changes the speed.However, the voltage is held while the gate to the S / H input is on.

Also, the output jack located in the center of the two sections compares the outputs of the two sections and outputs + 2V or -2V depending on which is larger. The END output is the gate output that goes high when the output signal delayed by lag and hold catches up with the input signal level.
