MUSICAL FEATURES

The E102 is a digital implementation of the analog shift register (ASR) used in Serge synthesizers and the like.Functions have been expanded with unique delay controls, and digitization has enabled highly accurate sampling and holding.

The CV input to INPUT is sampled every clock (internal clock or external clock by CLOCK IN), and its voltage is output from OUT1. Then, every time the clock is input, the voltage that has been output from OUT1 is shifted to OUT2, the voltage output from OUT2 to OUT3, and the voltage output from OUT3 to OUT4.

The above operation is when the DELAY control is at least 1, and as the DELAY control is increased, the number of clocks until the next output can be increased and the shift can be delayed. Even if DELAY is raised, the output from OUT1 will not be delayed, and sample and hold will be performed at each clock.Only shifts will be delayed. The range of the DELAY control can be switched with a switch.The delay range is SH: 1-1, MD: 8-1, LG: 32-1 with 511 as no delay.

If not patched to the inputs, digital noise will be internally wired as inputs. Digital noise can be selected from 8 spectra by NOISE control, and CV control is also possible. It also has white noise output and is not affected by NOISE control.

Turn the QUANTIZE switch ON to quantize the output. When set to FLOW, it is not sampled and the inputs are simply quantized, giving the same signal on four outputs.

Internal clock speed RATE, DELAY, NOISE can be controlled by CV.
