The legendary Serge Resonant EQ is a 10-band filter bank, a unique module designed for electroacoustic synthesis and processing, creating the formant peaks and valleys found in acoustic instruments. This "VC" version features CV controls with attenuverters for each band level, and each band also has separate audio outputs.
The CV input can also be used to feed the system with an audio signal from either an external oscillator or a separate output.
The input has a 2-channel mixer with attenuator, and a feedback section has been added to feed back the output signal. Using feedback, it is possible to oscillate even without input.
Of the three outputs, the two Comb outputs provide a mix of alternating filter bands, and the two top outputs are a mix of all filter bands. Note that there is no clear separation between the bands, they are organically coupled, and moving any frequency knob will affect both Comb outputs.
