To protect the original signal voltage range of Serge, the signal handled by Random * Source Serge is smaller than the standard Eurorack module, which is 5V at Peak to Peak.It is not as small as the line level, but when using it with other companies' products, pass it through a signal booster or attenuator as needed.

MUSICAL FEATURES

Random * Source APNC is a very useful composite module of 5 Serge modules, including 2 new 3th generation modules.

Active Processor

The left section, Serge ACPR, is a precision linear crossfader for CV / audio signals. The new version, designed by Serge in 2017, has significantly improved accuracy. With smooth changes to the two CVs, wave blending in the audio range, and wave shaping with CV and audio inputs, this module plays an important role in complex patches.

NoiseSource

The middle section, Serge NOI, produces white noise and pink noise waveforms. The S / H SRC output produces an equal probability random voltage with a distribution function close to 1 / F required as an input source for the sample and hold function, and is particularly effective in combination with the Smoothed & Stepped Generator (SSG).

Precision CV-Processor

The section on the right, Serge CV-PRO, is also a newly developed module, offering functionality beyond CV addition/inversion. The 1V/OCT (Precision) input stage provides 1V/Oct control voltage mixing capability to accurately transpose sequences in cents while maintaining tuning. By manipulating the OCTAVE switch, you can also transpose the signal exactly one octave up or down. Three attenuverter-equipped stages provide complete processing control over input voltage level and polarity using Serge's unique diode-based wave compression. A constant voltage is internally connected to the first channel and can be used as an offset.
