MUSICAL FEATURES
A window comparator composed of three sections, each with different specifications.
1. Special Comparison Instant
Of the three, this is the most common, being similar to a window comparator. You can set the upper and lower voltage limits for the output gate to go high. Furthermore, CV can be patched.
2. Comp for Concurrent Magnitudes
The gate is output when the signal from Input 1 is compared to the setting of the SET/In2 potentiometer. If no signal is input to In 2, a fixed voltage is set by the potentiometer. If there is a signal in In 2, the signal from Input 1 is compared to the signal level of Input 2. At this time, the signal from Input 2 can be attenuated to the desired amount by the potentiometer.
As an additional feature of this circuit, you can set the gate level (up to 10V!) with the Level pot. Furthermore, by patching a signal to the LEVEL input, you can create envelope or burst signals instead of a simple gate.
3. Comp for Restricted Openings
This unit features a potentiometer for setting and changing the gate width, as well as a CV input. In1 and In2 are added together, and their sum is compared to the level selected by the SET potentiometer.
