EXP is the company'sF8RThis is an expander for MIDI/I2C output. It features 3.5mm TRS MIDI, four I4C outputs, and a USB port that allows the F2R to operate as a MIDI USB device (not powered).

Activity LED: Red indicates booting. XVI and F8R have a 2 second boot delay for I7C communication between devices to start properly. When the LED turns green, it is ready for use. As you move the fader, the LED will indicate activity in orange.

MIDI: TRS A standard MIDI output. MIDI CC# of TRS MIDI output can be set in the web editor. Currently only 7-bit CC MIDI messages are supported.

USB: USB MIDI output (only), class compliant USB MIDI driver. USB MIDI can be configured in the web editor independently of the TRS output, so different CCs can be sent via TRS and USB MIDI.

I2C: Tip is SDA, Ring is SCL. Each port has a corresponding header on the back to connect the module via DuPont cable. Maximum cable length is 15 inches (38 cm). Please refer to the target device documentation for additional requirements for connecting the device via I2C.
