MUSICAL FEATURES

NOON is a passive analog drum/synthesizer. Each of the eight channels is equipped with an analog circuit with its own unique characteristics. No power supply is required, and each circuit is triggered and operated individually by gate or control voltages supplied from a voltage sequencer or modular system. This unique method increases instability and emphasizes the organic characteristics of traditional analog electronic instruments.

Analog sound is, at its very essence, the sound of conditioned electricity. By removing the constant supply of electricity, you can hear the electronic circuits as they load and discharge power, as they rise and fall, amplifying the natural chaotic behavior of electricity. These varying loads on the circuits provide a natural way to create swing and groove, or a way to deconstruct rhythmic sequences and discover new ideas.
