The L-1 Midside Discrete Microcompressor is a Blackmer VCA topology-based analog stereo compressor with Midside processing and sidechain capabilities. The new mix control of this unit, which adopted the Discrete Blacksea circuit instead of the THAT3401 chip, realized parallel compression and added CV control to the Ratio parameter.The gain reduction display is equipped with a highly visible LED bar graph, and all other parameters including the filter cutoff can be CV controlled except for the Mix parameter.
Also equipped with the envelope output of the compressor as well as the Stereo Discrete Micro compressor. By operating the switch located above the Mix knob, the operation mode of this unit can be switched from three, Midside / Stereo / Dual Mono, and it can also be used as two independent compressors.Designed with only high-quality components, like other L-3 modules, this unit offers features comparable to vintage equipment in a Eurorack environment.
