MUSICAL FEATURES

Cycle 5 is a tiny 6HP Eurorack analog oscillator module packed with power. With an improved and highly stable Tri-core VCO circuit, it delivers performance that rivals or exceeds that of larger, more expensive oscillator modules.

The Coarse Frequency knob is replaced by a 7-position Octave Rotary switch, and combined with the Fifth switch transpose and factory pitch tuning, the Cycle 5 can be used as a very simple and musical VCO. By simply turning the Fine knob to the center position, the Cycle 5 can be instantly tuned to a reference C.

The high precision dual V/Oct CV inputs are extremely versatile, for example you could use one for a pitch sequence and the other as a general Exp.FM input, or you could input different sequence CVs into both and transpose them. The dual V/Oct inputs act as a Precision Adder built into the module.

The most interesting feature of Cycle 5 is the Vari-Wave waveshaper, which smoothly changes the output waveform from sine wave, triangle wave, sawtooth wave, square wave, and then wide pulse when you turn the Vari-Wave knob. The Vari-Wave parameters can also be controlled with an external CV, allowing you to create powerful tones by controlling them at audio frequencies. In addition, it is a practical VCO with independent outputs of four classic waveforms: sine wave, triangle wave, sawtooth wave, square wave/pulse wave, hard sync input and switchable LFO mode. The innovative Trigonometric waveshaper generates a very clean sine wave that is also perfect for sub-bass.
