Two tracks related to each other

The two tracks are configured as two variations of a single master sequence , built using the pitch slider, Pulse Count switch, and Gate Type switch . The operation of the sliders and switches for setting the master sequence is the same as in previous versions of Metropolis. Based on this master sequence, each track can create a variety of variations, from contrapuntal sequences to polyrhythms, by setting its own set of sequence parameters.

8 modulation lanes

Each MOD lane is a modulation track with 8 stages of modulation values, each with its own playback direction, length, and clock division count. There are 8 such tracks within Metropolix. Each MOD lane can be routed to two assignable outputs, A and B, and to a vast number of internal modulation destinations.

Assignable I / O and control knobs

The three AUX CV inputs allow you to set various sequence parameters to the modulation target. You can also assign parameters to the two control knobs , enabling real-time sequence manipulation via the knobs. In terms of output, in addition to the CV/Gate outputs of the two main tracks, you can assign two of the eight modulation lanes to outputs A and B.

Loopy mode

In Loopy mode, you can instantly loop only a portion of a sequence by pressing the stage button , or play a key on a keyboard at a pitch set with the slider.

Preset function

Metropolix features eight banks, each capable of storing eight presets, for a total of 64 presets . Current settings are saved to the EPROM, ensuring complete retention even when the power is turned on and off, even without saving them as presets . Menu and button settings are always recalled via presets, and you can also configure whether the positions of physical controls such as the Pitch slider and Pulse Count switch are recalled as presets on a per-controller basis .

Interface

Metroplix consists of numerous knobs and jacks, sliders inherited from Metropolis, multi-position switches, encoders and buttons to simplify menu operation, and a display that shows various information. The pitch slider, pulse count switch, and gate type switch on the right side of the panel set the main starting sequence, and by setting various sequence parameters to this, the actual sequence from TRK1 and TRK2 is determined.
