MUSICAL FEATURES

Bionic Lester is a 2-channel 2-pole state variable digital filter with a unique aggressive character. FilterModes change continuously with knobs and CVThen, it changes in the order of low pass → band pass → high pass → notch → all pass / com.Digital VCAControls the gain and distortion amount to the filter input stage. Each filter has its own input and output, and it also has a Mix output that adjusts and outputs the two balances. With the comb filter, you can also obtain effects similar to delay, chorus, and fading.

Each filter has 3 CV inputs. The first CV input is for modulating the cutoff frequency, and CV2 and CV3 are either cutoff, resonance, mode or gain. Can be assignedis. Assigning gain controls the input with a digital VCA. Assignment ispresetCan be stored in and like all other mk3 modules from Industrial Music Electronics, CV between 8 presets.Morphable.

Each filter in Bionic Lester works independently in the default settings, but at the push of a buttonLink modeBy entering, you can switch between control and signal routing, saving you the trouble of patching. The Link mode can be set from the menu, and the following settings can be made.

  • A CTL: The cutoff setting is changed and A is controlled by the cutoff of filter A as it is, but B is the cutoff realized by adding the cutoff value of itself to the cutoff of filter A. As a result, the cutoff of A also controls the cutoff of B.
  • SERIES: The signal input to Filter B is ignored and the output from Filter A is routed to come in. A and B controls are independent and act as a serial filter with distortion in the middle
  • 4 poles: Signal routing is the same as SERIES, but A control also controls B. This will connect two 2-pole filters with the same parameters in series, and output B will output a 2-pole filter signal. Output A is a 4-pole output, and Mix output is a 2-pole output when the balance is at the center.
  • STEREO: Filter A / B input and output are independent, but A control also controls B. By making A and B stereo LR output, it becomes a stereo input / output filter.

In addition to CV assignments, link settings can be saved in presets. Other preset settings can be accessed by holding down the encoder and pressing the button beside the display.
