MUSICAL FEATURES

Japanese manual

Pico VCO is an oscillator that allows you to select 32 different waveforms. Two banks of waveforms can be selected with a switch. There are 2 waveforms in one bank. It is also possible to control the waveform with CV. It can also be used as an LFO by switching the switch. The VCO frequency range is 1Hz-16kHz and the LFO frequency range is 30Hz-5Hz.

CALIBRATION

The Pico VCO's 1V / Oct tracking is done using the following process, rather than using a trimmer like an analog oscillator. This adjustment is not necessary because it is done at the time of shipment, but if necessary, perform the following. (You'll need a tool to get exactly 1V and 5V. Use the quantizer or keyboard CV output)

  • Power down the Pico VCO's connected modular system
  • It outputs a voltage of 1.000V. On a keyboard, the pitch CV output when C1 is pressed is 1V.
  • Turn both the Pico VCO WAVE knob and TUNE knob all the way to the right, and set both switches to the upper position.
  • Power on the Pico VCO
  • Patch the 1V voltage created above to the 1V / Oct input of the Pico VCO
  • Push the VCO / LFO switch down.
  • Change the voltage output at 1V to 5V (increase keyboard octave, increase quantizer input voltage)
  • Raise the VCO / LFO switch to the upper side. This ends the calibration.
