MUSICAL FEATURES

The Sequential Voltage Source Model 245t is an analog memory for storing and retrieving control voltages. The 245t's internal pulse generator, whose period and pulse width (duty cycle) can be controlled by voltage, produces up to five programmed voltages on each of its four outputs.

HOW TO USE

The 245t allows you to select stages in 3 different ways: Pulse advancing / Analog selection / Pulse selection, which can be used simultaneously or in any combination.
Pulse-advancingis used to generate a sequence of control voltages.Advance the sequence one stage with the built-in pulser or a pulse from an external source. The sequencer can cycle through multiple stages, or it can be a one-shot that starts/ends at any stage, with the extent of the sequence defined by the switches between stages.
Analog selectThe input determines which stage is activated depending on the value of the incoming control voltage.Higher voltages select higher numbered stages, and 0 volts enables the Pulse advance and Pulse select inputs. Analog selection can transform a continuous voltage, such as an envelope or random voltage, into a series of pre-programmed values, such as a 12-tone scale (quantize).
The sequencer can also be used as a preset controller (random access memory), recalling pre-programmed parameter values by sending a pulse to the Stage Select Input of the desired stage.thisPulse selectionBy combining with Pulse advancing, you can simultaneously program multiple short or periodic sequences, for example.
Each stage's pulse output and LED are activated when the corresponding stage is activated. The period of the built-in voltage-controlled pulser ranges from 0.005 seconds to 10 seconds, and the pulse width can be varied from 1% to 100% of the period.
