Befaco Percall is a 4-channel VC Decay Generator / VCA mixer that creates a percussive sound from four different audio sources.

This unit, which consists of 4 channels with the same circuit, mounts a decay envelope circuit and VCA on each channel.The decay time of this envelope activated by the trigger signal can be controlled by a dedicated slider or CV.Put a continuous sound such as an oscillator or noise into the IN jack, and input a trigger to the trigger jack to turn any sound into percussion.

The envelope used to control the built-in VCA is also output , allowing you to patch that envelope to a sound module. Choke circuits are also implemented between channels 1 and 2, and between channels 3 and 4. The trigger signal from channel 1 mutes the envelope of channel 2, enabling the creation of dynamic patches such as open and closed hi-hat patterns. The STRENGTH input, which adds further dynamics to the sound, can be used as a common accent between channels and is a macro CV input that simultaneously affects the amplitude and decay time of all envelopes. In addition, audio inputs 1 through 3 are normalized to input 4, so unpatched outputs are mixed with OUT4 and output.
