MUSICAL FEATURES

Befaco Muxlicer is a CV-addressable 8-channel bidirectional analog switch / CV sequencer / gate generator.Adding a wide range of special features to your modular setup, this sequential signal processor consists of three main sections: a digital step controller, a gate generator, and an analog switch (Mux / DeMux), with minimal space. Designed with a high "feature and HP ratio" philosophy for maximum flexibility.

  • Performs any modular signal from one input to up to eight outputs and vice versa
  • Generates a CV / gate signal that functions as a sequencer
  • Cut audio signal into rhythmic slices with independent level control
  • Chop different audio signals in a rhythmic way
  • Generate complex CV / gate patterns from any audio / CV
  • Implemented two clock Div / Mult for clock input and clock output
  • Address control to synchronize with manual / CV

How to Use

Muxlicer is roughly divided into three sections.

  1. Digital step controller: It controls the overall transport, such as determining the tempo and step position of the clock of the sequencer, and controlling the start / stop.

Run / Address knobThen, when it is full to the left, it advances according to the clock like a normal sequencer, but when it is turned to the right, the position is offset from 1 to 8.Also, step movement is performed only at the clock timing.

redPlay switchCan be moved up or down.Click down while the sequencer is playingReset, Sequencer from start to finish while sequencer is stoppedone-shotOnly play.Click on the sequencerStart / Stopto hold. The operation of the down clickReset / One Shot JackYou can also do it with a trigger.

SPEED DIV / MULT ENCODERTurn to adjust the speed of the internal clock of the sequencer, press it multiple times to tap tempo, and press and turn it to divide and multiplex the clock. If the sequencer is stopped, the clock will not be output from the clock output, but you can change the setting so that the clock is output even when the sequence is stopped by turning the Play switch up for 3 seconds.
  2. Gate generator: It consists of a gate output jack for each step of the sequencer, a gate mode knob on the upper right that determines the output gate type, an All Gates jack on the lower right, and an EOC jack.

Gate mode knob / CVYou can control the gate output by with a knob or CV.There is no gate on the left, the next is the gate that connects to the next step, the next is the gate of half the step, the next and subsequent is the ratchet, the gate is 1 times in 2 step, the next is 3 times ... Output.
  3. Analog switch: This is a sequential switch that switches the MUX IO jack to which COM IO is connected step by step. COM IO / MUX IO input / output is bidirectional.

When the MUX IO is input, the signal patched to ALL In is input to the unpatched MUX IO. Since ALL IN is not patched, a constant voltage is internally connected. The fader is an attenuator between MUX IO and COM IO, so if you haven't patched ALL IN or MUX IO at all, the slider will be the voltage at each step and COM IO will be the CV output.CV sequencer.
