MUSICAL FEATURES

Loop is a hi-fi audio looper module with four unique recording modes and an intuitive interface. You can capture up to 4 minutes of audio and play it at half the speed. Each recording uses one of four modes: Sound on Sound, Dub, Replace, and Infinite (Frippertronics). The recorded content will be erased when the power is turned off.

  • Hi-Fi Audio-Recording time of 24 minutes at 48-bit, 5kHz
  • 4 recording modes: Sound on Sound, Dub, Replace, Frippertronics
  • Intuitive interface
  • Half speed and reverse playback

HOW TO USE

To start recording to the Loop, send any audio source to the IN port at the top of the module. The terminal directly below the audio input is the recording gate input attached to the RECORD button, and the recording is switched on / off by the incoming gate signal.Incoming audio can be monitored from OUT at the bottom of the module. Use the IN LVL knob to set the level of audio sent to the MIX and recording buffers. Use the MIX knob to control the Dry / Wet balance between live audio and Loop. The input signal is recorded even with the 100% Wet setting.

Next, select the four recording modes used for recording from the following with the MODE button.

  • Sound on Sound --New recordings are layered in the recording buffer
  • Oak --Put the recording start queue at the start of the buffer. Breaked after one loop, the buffer works like Sound on Sound mode
  • Replace --Record while overwriting the recording in the buffer
  • Frippertronics --Each layer recorded in the buffer is gradually attenuated. This mode gives the best results when REC remains on

If the recording is successful, Loop will immediately replay the contents of the buffer repeatedly. You can use the SHIFT button to execute commands such as:

  • Clear the buffer by pressing and holding SHIFT and RECORD at the same time for 1 second or longer.
  • If you hold down SHIFT and click RECORD, you can select the playback speed of the buffer from normal (green) and half speed (blue).
  • If you hold down SHIFT and click MODE, you can select the playback direction of the buffer from forward playback (green) and reverse playback (blue).
