Erica Synth Pico Quant is an advanced CV Quantizer with unique features.This unit, which supports microtonal quarter tones and achieves high-precision quantizing, allows you to easily create and save custom scales via a dedicated web interface.
Like the general CV Quantizer module, Pico Quant applies the quantize of the scale selected with the SCALE button to the pitch CV input to the CV IN, and outputs it from the CV OUT.You can check the selected scale by the LED color next to the SCALE button. If there is no external clock input to CLK IN, a trigger signal is output from CLK OUT every time the scale changes.If you want to quantize according to the external clock, patch the clock signal to CLK IN. The GLIDE control sets the glide time between notes, and the TOLERANCE control adjusts the approximation at which the quantizer works.This is a parameter that defines how close the fluctuation of the input CV is to the next note value, and the knob will be 50% at the minimum left full value, and the input CV will be 50 to the next note value. % The output changes when approaching.At maximum knob full right, the approximation is 10% and the output does not change until it is fairly close to the next note value.This feature is especially useful when using random CVs or noise as a source.
