Mutable Instruments Stages

Stages is a modulator that combines six stages to create multiple envelopes, LFOs, and sequencers. A complex 6-stage envelope, one AD envelope, and one 6-step sequencer are also possible. Which stage and how to combine is automatically determined by how you patch the gate jack. If you use more than 1 stages, you can add up to 4 StageschainYou can use it.

Each stage operates in one of the following modes and combines them to create a modulation source.

• Ramp: Transition stage from one voltage to another. The transition time can be controlled with a slider or CV, and the curve shape can be adjusted. Suitable for attacking and decaying envelopes, and parts of LFOs
• Hold: Hold stage that sets the voltage to a certain level. The voltage level to be set can also be controlled by CV. Mainly used for sustain and hold in the envelope
• Step: A stage that reaches the set target voltage with glide and stays at that voltage until the next trigger is received.The set voltage is controlled by the slider and CV.It can be used not only for sequencers, but also for functions such as sequential switches and sample and hold.

Each segment can be looped. If the last stage of the envelope is included in the loop, it will loop forever (LFO). If not, the gate will loop while it is ON, which can be used to construct an ADSR-like envelope.
