MUSICAL FEATURES

Warp 1 is a new generation analog waveshaper. Rather than relying on the inherent properties of transistors or diodes, traditional methods use a variable power function to precisely implement the mathematical relationship between input and output.

Like light passing through a lens, straight waveform segments are bent into "hollow" concave or "driven" convex curves. The degree of curvature is determined by the exponent control, while the scale parameter determines the "depth" of the curve.

The output is equipped with a high-precision clipper that can clamp (limit) the positive and negative sides of the waveform separately. In combination with the absolute value switch, it can be used as half-wave or full-wave rectification, and can be used to limit the CV range or to create an octave-up effect for audio.

Switching the mode switch from "direct" to "hyper" causes the exponent to become negative, resulting in a hyperbolic output. Dual summing inputs, an inverted output, and even a polarity comparator gate output further expand the signal processing capabilities.

From subtle harmonic nuances to intense hyperbolic distortion, Warp 1 is a waveshaper that offers unprecedented control, with meaningful parameter design, clear LED display, full voltage control and an operating range that extends from DC to the ultrasonic realm.

Characteristics

- Analog waveshaper based on power functions
- Exponent adjustment allows you to change the waveform shape from concave to linear to convex.
- Hyper mode transforms the input signal into a hyperbolic waveform
・The absolute value function allows it to be used as a full-wave rectifier
- Asymmetric waveshaping with symmetry control
- High-precision output clipper with separate settings for positive and negative
・Normal output/inverted output/polarity comparator output (impedance compensated)
Excellent visual feedback: LEDs indicate input voltage, output voltage, and clip status
High-precision 2mm thick anodized aluminum front panel (high-resolution, non-erasable graphics)
Robust design: polarized power header and MOSFET protection circuit
High quality parts and assembly, designed and manufactured in Belgium
