RYK Modular Vector Wave Expander

By connecting this 3HP expander to the RYK Vector Wave module, you'll add three V/Oct inputs and three Gate inputs.This allows Vector Wave to be used as a 3-voice multi-timbral synth module.

HOW TO USE

Vector Wave and Expander Settings

Using the included connection cable, connect the12 pin headerand expander module.
At this time, make sure that the 'stripe' label on both boards matches the red stripe on the cable.
If you connect it in the wrong direction or mistakenly connect it to the 10-pin power header, you may damage the module.

We will need to access the back later, so proceed with the setup with it removed from the Eurorack.
If necessary, place the module on a non-conductive material such as paper or plastic so that the metal pins on the board do not touch the metal parts of the rack.
On the back of the expander, on the top of the module, is a small switch labeled 0V on one side and 5V on the other.Set this switch to 0V.

Next, calibrate your Vector Wave to the expander.

Graybutton andblueWhile holding down the button (ENV/LFO), power on the Eurorack and start Vector Wave.
Hold the two buttons down until the screen display is complete.on the screen'CALIB'characters are displayed.

Operate the lower left knob'EXP CAL'Select [Expander Calibration] and click the bottom right knob to start calibration.
This work is completed in two stages.First, the module is calibrated to 2V, as set on the back of the expander.
The display then shows 5V.As soon as you see this display, quickly set the switch to 5V.

When calibration is finished, the display will show'DONE'characters are displayed.
Exit Vector Wave by setting the switch back to 0V and powering down the rack.
This completes the preparations for using the expander.

The expander is a Vector WaveMOREmode can be used.
Setting MenuEnterFASHIONfrom the optionsMORESelect.

This allows each bank of Vector Wave to act as a separate synth voice, each controlled by an independent pair of V/Oct and Gate inputs.

bankAare assigned to the V/Oct and Gate jacks of Vector Wave, and bankB,C,Dare assigned to each V/Oct and Gate input of the expander respectively.

By configuring each bank of sounds individually, use them with independent voices to create multi-timbral setups.
This also allows you to use different sequencers, keyboards, etc. for each voice.

Also, if you want to use the expander as a polyphonic controller with a CV keyboard for example, duplicate any bank to all other banks.
To do this, use the Oscillator menu'CPY TO'と'ALL'Use options.
