Epoch Modular TwinPeak mk2

TwinPeak mk2 is a unique and high quality twin peak filter designed by Rob Hordijk. It features a pinging sound that makes use of musical tone shaping and delicate resonance.

TwinPeak consists of two low-pass filters with independent cutoffs, and input audio (blended Input 2 and 1 by LNL IN / FADE) is input to both filters with the same gain. TwinPeak mixes the outputs of these two filters in anti-phase to continuously output from a low-pass filter that only Filter A works to a band-pass filter that passes only the frequency band between the cutoffs of Filter A / B. It is possible to make similar changes (Curve control). The bandpass filter made in this way has the following properties, which are different from the bandpass made by serially connecting the highpass and lowpass filters.

• The bandpass filter passes audio in the band sandwiched by two frequencies regardless of the magnitude relationship between Peak A and B, so you can control and modulate without worrying about the magnitude relationship.
• Even a normal filter can make a percussive sound by sending a short pulse to the input (Pinging), but with Twin Peak, if Pinging Peak A and B at the same frequency, you can create a ping sound with a weak attack

By devising the Dual Mod knob / CV that controls two cutoffs at the same time, the two signal inputs, and the resonance modulation, it is possible to add the timbre movement unique to this filter.
