The Cnoc is a fully analog, voltage-controlled, two-stage function generator.Born from the West Coast sound synthesis philosophy, this kind of function generator goes far beyond the capabilities of traditional envelope generators. With 2 modes (AR, ASR, Looping), positive unipolar output and bipolar output, the Cnoc is ready for any patch.

West Coast Synth Voice
Overview: The sequencer triggers Cnoc simultaneously by sending a voltage to the oscillator . The unipolar output of Cnoc opens a wavefolder, allowing the oscillator signal to pass through.

Audio path:
- Patch the oscillator's sine wave to the wavefolder's audio input.
- Monitor the wavefolder output.
- Sets the wavefolder fold amount to the minimum value.
- Set the wavefolder symmetry bias to any position.
Control pathway:
- Patch the 1V/Oct output of the sequencer to the 1V/Oct input of the oscillator.

East Coast Synth Voice
Overview: The keyboard triggers a Cnoc module as it sends voltage to the oscillator . The Cnoc 's unipolar output opens the filter and VCA, allowing the oscillator signal to pass through. To create a more traditional East Coast patch, use separate Cnoc modules for the filter and VCA .

Audio path:
- Patch any waveform output of the oscillator to the audio input of the filter.
- Patch the filter's audio output to the VCA's audio input.
- Monitor the VCA's audio output.
- Sets the base frequency of the oscillator to any position.
- Set the cutoff frequency of the filter to any position.
- Set the filter resonance to any position.
- Set the VCA level to minimum.

CV Slew Limiter
Overview: This patch is compatible with the previously mentioned West Coast Synth Voice . By smoothing the sequencer voltage through Cnoc , it creates a portamento (glide) effect between consecutive notes.

- Patch the oscillator's sine wave to the wavefolder's audio input.

Quadrature Modulation
Overview: This patch uses two Cnoc units . The first Cnoc is configured to generate a one-shot triangle wave function. The gate signal generated in the release stage triggers the second Cnoc , which is configured to generate a one-shot triangle wave in the same way as the first . The gate signal generated in the release stage of the second Cnoc re-triggers the first Cnoc. This cyclical patching creates two triangle waves that are 90 degrees out of phase with each other. The two Cnoc units continue to re-trigger each other in a continuous sequence. One triangle wave controls the amount of wavefolding, while the other modulates the amount of filtering, creating quadrature dual timbre modulation.

- Monitor the audio output of the filter.
