* The Buchla & Tiptop Audio series is a Eurorack module of the Buchla 200 series. The following points are different from the original Buchla so that it is easy to use with Eurorack.

--All 3.5mm mono jacks (use the usual 3.5mm TS mono cable for banana nut jacks)
--Pitch CV for scale is 1V / Oct
--Audio is 10Vpp, equivalent to Eurorack
--CV is 0-10V

MUSICAL FEATURES

The Buchla & Tiptop Audio Quad Function Generator 281t is a 281-channel function generator module ported from the Buchla 4 module for Eurorack.

Each channel that can operate independently operates in one of the following three modes selected by the switch.

  • Transient mode: As soon as the gate signal input to Trig turns ON, it starts climbing, and as soon as it finishes climbing, it starts descending. Also known as the AD envelope. The length of the gate signal does not matter.Set the ascending time with attack and the descending time with decay. The range is 1 millisecond to 10 seconds.
  • Sustained mode: Similar to Transient mode, but the output voltage is sustained at 10V while the gate signal is ON and begins to decline the moment the gate is OFF. Also known as the ASR envelope.Set the ascending time with attack and the descending time with decay. The range is 1 millisecond to 10 seconds.
  • Cyclic mode: In this mode, the gate signal does not launch the envelope, but it goes up and down repeatedly.Set the ascending time with attack and the descending time with decay. The range is 1 millisecond to 10 seconds. It also has a dedicated input to switch the Cyclic mode ON / OFF by turning the gate ON / OFF.

Attack and decay can also be controlled by voltage. In any mode, the pulse is output from the Pulse output jack at the end of the Decay phase.

Envelopes A and B, or C and D, do not move independently, but move in synchronization with a phase shift of 90.Quadrature modeIt is also possible to operate with (switch with a switch). You can mix and output A and B (or C and D) signals from the Quadrature output, but you can adjust the relative level of the second signal with the knob.
