A collaboration between DivKid and Apollo View, Manic is an 8HP module for exploring dual mono, mono to stereo, and stereo to stereo modulation and sound shaping. Each channel provides precision linear VCA functionality with unipolar operation for traditional VCAs, as well as bipolar operation for complex ring modulation effects.

VCA is essential and you can never have too much of it! VCAs are the secret seasoning hidden in many circuits, providing control and modulation of level, depth, or amount. In addition to the clean output that passes through only the VCA, Manic also features a shaped output that passes through a wave shaping section with manual and voltage control.

If you select anything other than inversion, processing will be different for channel 1 and channel 2. CH 1 offers TanH soft clipping in clip mode and Serge style wave folding in fold mode. CH2 features hard clipping and Buchla style wave folding. Using the two channels in LR allows for dynamic stereo widening effects and is also useful for creating stereo images from mono sources. It will further enhance the stereo spread on stereo inputs.

Designed for excellent performance with both audio and CV signals, Manic processes input signals across a wide range of applications. The intuitive layout allows immediate operation, perfect for live performance or studio experimentation.
