MUSICAL FEATURES

BMFLTR is a band-mix type state variable filter (SVF).

Unlike typical SVFs, the Lowpass/Bandpass/Highpass channels can be selected depending on the input. This is the same characteristic as the Steiner-Parker filter, but the BMFLTR has a smoother tone and lower noise.

The input signal for each band can be attenuated using the respective slider. Also, if a cable is patched only to the LP channel, the same signal as the LP channel will be input to the BP/HP channel. This allows you to adjust the strength of each band with the slider like a graphic equalizer. Also, if you input different signals to each channel, you can use it like a band-divided mixer (for example, input a kick drum to the LP, a snare to the BP, and a hi-hat to the HP).

The FM knob acts as an attenuverter: the signal input from the FM jack is adjusted by the FM knob and then modulates the cutoff frequency.

It self-oscillates when Q is set to maximum, and can be used as a sine wave oscillator by patching it to the V/OCT input.

In addition, the built-in limiter circuit limits the output volume to a range of approximately +-9V, so the volume will not increase dramatically even if the oscillation becomes unstable.
